A jump ring is used as a connector to attach key chains or fobs to the actual key ring.

Sold as a pack of 100 jump rings.
Available in Nickel Plate (chrome) or Brass Plated.
 
1/2" Diameter round jump ring for assembling key chains and key rings.
Supplied open. (opening is .140")
Crimp closed with ordinary pliers.
 
Wire is .075" Thick
